If you still rather shop on eBay, you are more than welcome to, but understand why we can offer this COUPON CODE here on this site, but no on eBay. We would rather our customers save themselves some money by shopping here, rather than on eBay, but again, this is completely your choice, we just wanted to let you know how you can save some money on your motorcycle gear and biker leathers.
Why are we offering this? If you have never sold on eBay for a living, you have no idea of the skyrocketing costs to do so.
eBay charges a "Listing Fee" for every single item you put on eBay. If it does not sell, you are out plenty of money for each listing you put up. To be competitive and to be found on eBay, you must put up a LOT of items.
Once or even IF an item is sold, you then pay eBay a percentage of the amount of the sale. Then after all that, there are the PayPal fees which are also a percentage of your sale. In case you did not know this, PayPal is owned by eBay, so it is quite a monopoly they have going there.
Last but not least, is selling on eBay is HUGELY time consuming. More than on any other venue, eBay buyers email you MANY times during a transaction. MUCH more than they ever do when purchasing off of your own online store. Don't get me wrong, I love ALL of my customers, on and off of eBay. However, since the whole process of listing on eBay, answering tons of emails everyday, and the whole feedback process, it does not leave us enough time to focus on adding more products to our online shops.
If you like PayPal and would rather pay with PayPal, you may do so here as well. There are issues with PayPal and it is not OUR preference, but if that is the way any of our buyers want to pay, then we are happy to have your business and we do offer this option for you.
The main problem we have with PayPal is their new implementation of items being sold on ebay.
This is what eBay and PayPal say about the 21 Day Hold: " In a small percentage of cases where it has been determined the risk of dissatisfied buyers is higher, PayPal may delay release of the payment funds to the seller until the buyer has left a positive feedback or 21 days have passed without a dispute, claim, chargeback or reversal filed on that transaction."
Actually, there is absolutely NO way to know if your PayPal payment will be one of those that is placed on hold! This "small percentage of cases" is said to be about 5%. Well, since there are millions of transactions per year on eBay that will be a LOT of times when PayPal will make the decision to hold people's money. Now, what this means to a seller or merchant is that even though we will not collect our payment for up to 21 days, in the meantime, we will have paid for the merchandise that our customers ordered, pay for shipping AND handling, taken our time to process and package up the order, taken your order to the post office (or whatever other shipper one uses) and all of that will be out of the merchants pocket. Not to mention that we still have eBays fees that must be paid. In our opinion, this is just a scammy way to hold on to other people's money and collect interest on it.
This is but one of the many reasons so many of your favorite, long-time sellers have left eBay and why so many refuse to take PayPal on their own sites. I am going to continue to offer PayPal for those customers who really want to use it, as I care about our customers here at USA Biker Leather, but I just wanted to give you a heads up as to the reason we are offering this discount to our eBay Visitors.

When you use your credit card here directly (not via PayPal) at USA Biker Leather, it is only "authorized", we do not charge your credit card until we have determined that the product(s) you have ordered are in stock and ready to be shipped. Many online shops charge your credit card immediately, then tell you a week later, that "sorry, it is not in stock", then if you want a refund, it may take another three weeks to receive it, so your money is tied up for weeks sometimes. That won't happen to you here. If an item is on backorder, you may request a refund OR you may opt to choose to wait on your backorder.
